Executive level promotions announced: Terri Thompson

Carlsen Resources, Inc., a leading executive search firm specializing in the global media and telecommunications sectors, promoted Terri Thompson to senior vice president,executive search.

With nearly 20 years of corporate work and executive search experience, Thompson joined Carlsen Resources in 2006 as a consultant, working primarily in the digital media and marketing arenas.She spent the majority of her career with Cox Communications, Inc., serving as vice president of marketing, as well as in several key strategic positions in product planning, field marketing and management.Thompson is very active in Women in Cable Telecommunications, previously serving as the organization’s national president,while also heading up the WICT Foundation.She has also held a number of leadership roles for

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She was named one of the Top 10 Business Women by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Woman of the Year by the Atlanta chapter of WICT.Thompson earned both her MBA and bachelor’s degree in business administration at Emory University.
